Unk-Obama
Madeline & I watched the inauguration of Barrack Obama, along with the rest of the country. She was so cute to watch during it; when they showed the audience waving their American flags she ran out of the room then came running back in with a big neon yellow & orange soccer referee flag and started waving it. She would say, "ooh, ooh, ooh I have to wave my flag!" every time she saw other people waving their flags. Then after he was sworn in I said, "Now Barrack Obama is our new president" and then I explained how every four years we vote on a president...etc. And she looked at me and said, "Mommy where's George Bush gonna go now that Unk-Obama is our president?" I was so proud of my little patriotic child as we stood in the middle of our living room during the national anthem..she made me stand after I had explained that when we're out in public and that song is played you're supposed to stand out of respect....so she made me stand, not in public but at least she got the point.
